Mr. Jimmy Ray Byers age 78 of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at The Bridge in Monteagle. Jimmy had worked for many years at Monteagle Silo Company and Sewanee Silica and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a son of the late John Berry Byers and Mattie Ethel Davis Byers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Byers; sons, Bobby (Audrey) Byers, Cowan, Dennis (Tammy) Byers, Pelham; sisters, Mary Jennings and Virginia Hall both of Monteagle; grandchildren, Derick, Josh, Jonathan, Robert and Brianna; great-grandchildren, Jacob Nathaniel, Avery, Attelyhn, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Paul Tittle officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
