Obituary of Edith Shirley

Mrs. Edith Layne Shirley age 102 of Layne's Cove near Pelham, TN passed from this life on Friday evening, April 25, 2014, at Willows of Winchester Health & Rehab Center. She was born October 30, 1911 a daughter of the late W.T. and Hattie Partin Hill. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Abe Layne and her husband, Bob Shirley; brothers, Joe and Osler Hill; sister, Lucille Brown; grandson, Gary Layne. She is survived by a son, Sherman Layne of Layne's Cove; daughters, Virginia Zimsek, Streetsboro, Ohio and Teresa Ann Layne, Maryland; grandchildren, Sharon Hunt, Tereza Pilcher, Dan Zimsek; great-grandchildren, Lacy Hunt, Alex Hunt and Amber Layne, Meaghan Pilcher, Vinny Zimsek, and Zoey Zimsek; sisters, Fermenda Hassebrock of Layne's Cove, Mary Lee Johnson, Tracy City and Margaret Jordan, Beaumont, Texas; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
