Obituary of Mr. Ray Meeks

Ray Meeks age 79 of Coalmont, Tennessee went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Creasie Meeks; parents Newt and Flora Meeks; brothers Daniel, Gordon, Gilbert, and Doc Meeks; sister Fay Campbell.
He is survived by sons Wayne (Deborah) Meeks of Palmer, Randall (Hazel) Meeks of Tracy City, Lestel (Debra) Meeks of Coalmont; daughters Judy (Ronald) Green of Tracy City, Gail Parsons of Tracy City, Mary (Charlie) Powell of Pikeville, Nona (Kenny) Kilgore of Coalmont, Christine (Patrick) Stevens of Tracy City; his dog Chigger; sisters Hester Fultz of Monteagle, and Josephine Green; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the chapel of Foster & Lay Funeral Home. Reverends Michael Gass, Jeffery Nelson, and Wayne Norris will officiate. Burial will be in Meeks Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. and Monday April 7, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
