Mrs. Verna Louise Barnes Sells age 62 of Monteagle passed away Friday evening with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Sherwood, Tennessee a daughter of the late William Woodrow Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Haney Barnes and was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony and Elvis Sells; brothers, Robert, Raymond and Billy Barnes; sisters, Katherine Hill and Jean Price.
Survivors include her son, Steve Sells, Tracy City; sisters, Peggy Price and Wanda Smith both of Sewanee; grandchildren, Deanna, Courtnee and Tyler; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Elder Franklin Hill officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
