Mrs. Dorothy E. Prater age 89 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arble Prater; companion, Harvey Sweeton; daughter, Phyllis Carol Green; sisters, Pauline Prater, Gladys Johnson; brothers, Cesslor Herman Johnson, and William Clayton Johnson.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny William Prater and Bruce Wayne Prater both of Tracy City; sister, Hazel Johnson Adams, Monteagle; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ben Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
