Obituary of Roy Kilgore

Mr. Roy "Moe" Kilgore, age 82, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Sunday evening, March 16, 2014, at his home with his family by his side. He was a son of the late Roy Kilgore and Creda Meeks Kilgore and was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur, Leonard, James and Glen R. Kilgore; sisters, Rachael Spurgeon and Rosalee Meeks; grandson, Joseph Michael Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore was a retired coalminer and had worked for Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company for many years. Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Kilgore; daughter, Marcie Kilgore, Tracy City; sons, Robert, Richard and Carlton (Debbie) Kilgore all of Tracy City; brother, Robert Kilgore of Murfreesboro; sisters, Linda Lawson, Manchester and Nancy Elizabeth Sheffy of Radford, VA; grandchildren, Eric (Margie) Kilgore, Sequatchie, Hannah Kilgore, Tracy City; step-grandsons, Joshua Meeks and Christopher Meeks; great-grandchildren, Jason Jet Li Kilgore and Breana Kilgore and one on the way; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ben Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-9 P.M.
