Mr. John Edward Henley, Jr. age 61 of LaVergne, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. Mr. Henley was born in Tracy City, Tennessee in July of 1952 to his parents John E. Henley and Lodema F. Thompson Henley both have preceded him in death. He was a Cleveland Browns Fan and as well as NASCAR fan especially of driver Jimmie Johnson. Survivors include his son John E. Henley, III of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; one granddaughter Jaida Lashay Henley; sisters Gail Anderson of La Vergne, TN and Donna Forte of Mentor, OH; brother Terry Henley of Augusta, SC; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home. Reverend Benny Benjamin will officiate. Burial will follow in City Cemetery, Tracy City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
