Obituary of Connie Melton

Connie Marie Parsons Melton, age 42, passed away peacefully in her home while sleeping early Saturday morning, January 11, 2014. Born November 16, 1971, Connie was a lifelong resident of the Clouse Hill community of Tracy City. Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 26 years Michael Melton; daughters, Tiffany and Chasity Melton; parents Randell and Janice Parsons; a brother, W.R. Parsons, all of Tracy City; a sister, Amanda (Michael) Parmley of Navarre, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a large extended family as well as many, many special friends, and treasured pets, purebred toy poodles Jagger and Jasmine. Connie was preceded in her death by her grandparents, Howard and Rachael Parsons; Hamp and Tressie Thomas; Uncles, Charlie Parsons; A.P, Jack and William Thomas all of Tracy City. Connie a beloved daughter, wife, and mother was a talented beautician. She was the owner and operator of her own business, Shear Magic Plus for more than 10 years. Artistically inclined, she was gifted in interior and floral design. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Rarely did she encounter a person that was not captivated by her warm, beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14th from 5pm until 9pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15th at 2pm with Pastor Gene Parsons officiating. A graveside service will be held at Cluse Hill Community Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Foster & Lay Funeral Home in Tracy City.
