Obituary of James "Jim" Roberts

Mr. James Arthur "Jim" Roberts age 74 of the Pryor Ride community near Tracy City passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at his home. He was a retired coalminer and was preceded in death by his parents, Dolph and Orphine Roberts; wife, Rennice Roberts; son, Joe Roberts; sister, Judy Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Stella Roberts; sons, Randolph (Elishea) Roberts, James Bicke Roberts, Wayne Roberts all of Tracy City, Billy Roberts, Jackson, GA; daughters, Debra (Doug) Downey, Chattanooga and Barbara (Benny) Tate, Griffin, GA; brothers, Arnold "Fat" Dixon, Tracy City, Sam Roberts, Sequatchie, Kenneth & Dan Roberts both of South Pittsburg; sisters, Patricia Roberts and Pamela Roberts both of South Pittsburg; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Brent Underchurch will officiate. Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
