Mr. Frank Ray Meeks age 85 of Tracy City passed from this life on Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013, in Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a son of the late George Meeks and Lizzie Sanders Meeks and was preceded in death by his wife, Hassie Meeks; brothers and sisters, Arthur, Tom, Wiley Virgil, Marshall, Mattie, Margaret, Viney, Barbara and Martha. Frank was a retired coalminer.
He is survived by his children, Nelson Meeks, Susan Irvin, Connie Hampton Meeks of Tracy City, Pennie Hobbs of Manchester and Charlene Meeks of Tracy City; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Andy Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
