Obituary of Harvey Sweeton

Mr. Harvey Morgan Sweeton age 80 of Tracy City passed from this life on Sunday evening at his home. He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on November 25, 1933, a son of the late Lawrence Sweeton and Margie Burnett Sweeton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Willard Sweeton; sister, Geraldine Scott and by an infant sister and brother. Harvey had retired from Rock Tenn, before that he had worked in the coalmines with his father when he was a young man and had various other jobs during his lifetime. Survivors include his brother, James (Alice) Sweeton; sisters, Lena (Lewis) Brown, Mabel (Ronnie) and Wilma Sue Woodlee all of Coalmont. His very special family, Dorothy Prater, Johnny Prater, Bruce Prater and the late Phyliss Green; lots of loving nieces and nephews including Darrin (Paula) Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend Ben Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Weldon Brown, Alan Sweeton, Richard Sweeton, Greg Woodlee, Darrin Hampton, Lebron Yokley, Brandon Le Bennett, Bradley Hampton and Jeremy Brown.
