Herbert Leo Kent age 78 of Sequatchie, Tennessee passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his home. Mr. Kent had an amazing work ethic, was an outdoors enthusiast, an animal lover and also was passionate about Broncos and boats. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Leo and Grace Moore Kent; his brother Ervin Kent; sisters Brenda Allen, Betty Fore, and Hallie Fore. He is survived by his loving wife Judy Kent; sons Robert Kent and William (Stephanie) Kent of Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughters Terry (Patrick) Carmody and Gayle (Richard) Kemp all of Chattanooga; brother Tom Kent; grandchildren David (Dana) Carmody, Hannah (Donnie) Kier, Amber (Brian) Woodall and Anthony Cooper; 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 P.M. CST Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in the chapel of Foster & Lay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
