Obituary of Virginia Lockhart

Mrs. Fredna Virginia Lockhart age 68 of Monteagle passed away at her home Monday morning March 28, 2011. A native of Hillsboro, TN she was a daughter of the late Clyde & Etta Smartt and was preceded in death by sisters, Audrey Brandon, Bessie Phillips and Peggy Lowery; brother, J.C. Smartt. Virginia and her husband, Mack Edward (Billy Joe) and been married 45 years and had operated several restaurants during the last 30 years, they were operating the Monteagle Diner at the time of her death. Survivors include her husband, Mack Edward (Billy Joe) Lockhart; children, Ted (Felicia) Ladd; Dana (Freddie) Harris; sisters, Altie Hines, Tullahoma, Mildred Weinberg, Beech Grove, Anna Pickrell, Sanford, FL and Betty (Daryl) Bacon, LasVegas, NV; brothers, Carl "Pete" Smartt and James L. Smartt of Manchester; grandchildren, Derek, Whitney and Alex Ladd, Hunter Brown and Blane Harris; several nieces and nephews and her loving pets "Tanner & "Lucy". Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Matthew Meeks officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
