Obituary of Faye Meeks

Mrs. Lucretia Faye Barrett Meeks age 72 of Tracy City passed away Friday evening, November 15, 2013, in Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was born in Altamont, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Etheridge Barrett and Mildred Rymer Barrett and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Barrett; step-son, Randall Lee Meeks. She love gardening, bird watching and all of nature's outdoors, she loved spending time with her family and especially listening to and playing blue grass music with her sister. She is survived by a loving family including her husband, Paul R. Meeks of Tracy City; daughter, Carla "Cammie" and her husband, Bobby Orrick of McMinnville; step-daughter, Debra Kay Stewart of Bridgeport, Alabama; step-sons, Darrell Barks of Beersheba Springs, Sammy, Danny, Charlie and Tim Meeks all of Tracy City; sister, Bobbie Barrett of Altamont; brothers, Keith, Charlie and Dal Barrett all of Altamont; grandchildren, Chloe and Rhiana Thompson; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the Foster & Lay Chapel with Ministers Dal Barrett and Ernest Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery.
