Mrs. Betty Louise Ladd age 81 of Monteagle passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, John Henry Ladd; son, James "Duper" Ladd; brother, Billy Garner. Betty and John Henry were well known for their restaurants and food catering businesses in Monteagle and Palatka, FL.
She is survived by her children, Adele Ladd, Monteagle, Willie (JoAnna) Ladd, Monteagle; sister, Willma Fay Williams, Tracy City; grandchildren, Chasity Beth Wolfe, GA, Tara (Bryan) Curtis, Monteagle, Jessica (Trey) Cook, Monteagle; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Hayle, Peyton and Drew Anna.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Jeremy Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery. On line condolences may be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee.
