Obituary of Dave Melton

Mr. Dave Melton age 68 of the Clouse Hill community near Tracy City passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, in Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. He was the owner and operator of Melton's Lumber Company for over 46 years. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, C.D. Melton and Jessie Pauline Parson Melton. He was a member of Tracy City First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Margie Sue Rankin Melton; children, Matthew (Roxanne) Melton, Tracy City, Joshua (Julie) Melton, Winchester, Toni Kay Melton, Christiana, TN and Vanessa Melton, Tracy City; brothers, Tom (Janie) Melton, Henry (Karen) Melton, Bill Melton and Wayne Melton all of Tracy City; sister, Virginia (Ronald) Hughes, Lookout Valley; 4 grandchildren, Kennedy Melton, Chandler Melton, Coleman Melton and Chaz Melton; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dave Melton will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Minister Ben Curtis will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.
