Obituary of Carlene Eldridge

Mrs. Carlene Haynes Eldridge age 85 of Tracy City, Tennessee went to be with the Lord October 7, 2013 at Southern Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, Tennessee. Mrs. Eldridge is the oldest member of Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church. She loved to sing and was part of the Haynes Trio for many years. Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by parents Vernon and Edith Haynes; son Stephen Wayne Eldridge; granddaughter Crystal Stevens Nunley; brothers Gene, James, Don, Randall, Charles, Perry, and Terry Haynes; grandparents Carl and Martha Haynes. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Herschel Eldridge; children Roger (Kathy) Eldridge of Gruetli- Laager, and Kay (Bill) Griffith of Tracy City; brothers Kenneth (Ann) Haynes, Larry (Mary) Haynes all of Tracy City and Gary (Charlotte) Haynes of Monteagle; grandchildren Wayne (Samantha) Stevens, Paula Clay, Stevie (Marie) Eldridge, Candace (Shawn) Simmons, and Tiffany Eldridge; 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church. Brother Dennis Rollins, and Brother Freddie Savage will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home and 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Pallbearers are Ralph Casey, Bobby Winton, Dewayne Sartin, Mike Jordan, John Curtis, Tim Orange, Ricky Layne, and Kurt Stiefel. Honorary pallbearers include Eli Eldridge, Tanner Eldridge, Chase Stevens, Wayne Stevens, Travis Scott, Steve Eldridge, and Wendell Stiefel.
