Obituary of Willard Smith

Willard Tate Smith age 71 of the Jumpoff community, Sewanee, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was the Quarter Master at the VFW Post 9586. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jane Ellen Tate Smith; and all of his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife Reta Smith; children Crystal (Larry) Lusk, Julie Smith, and Brett (Donna) Smith; step-children Kelly Yokley (Rickey), and TJ (Christy) Owens; and 10 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 23, 2013 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home. John Fritz, and Pastor Kenny Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Tate Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Monday.
