Obituary of Susie Childers

Mrs. Susie Mae Childers age 88 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, in Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was born in Coalmont on September 15, 1924, a daughter of the late Spencer Burton Brown and Nellie Jane Frederick Brown. She married Louie Woodrow Childers and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2008, also preceding her in death were her brothers, Clarence, James, Leon and Howard Brown; sisters, Mildred Meeks, Annabelle Brown and Nelene Rogers. Mrs. Childers was a long time member of Mt Ararat Cumberland Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Bill and his wife, Glenda Childers, Joe Childers, Ronald and his wife, Janice Childers, John and his wife, Becky Childers all of Tracy City, Phyllis and her husband, A.J. Gulley of Coalmont, Denise and her husband, Kerry Goodwin of Downingtown, PA, Joyce Flury, Lisa and her husband, Leldon Kelley of Tracy City brothers, Duke and Lewis Brown both of Coalmont; sister, Iva Jean Church of Kimball; grandchildren, Cheryl Grimes, Eric Childers, Stephanie Flury, Susan and Megan Gulley, David Smith, Spencer and Hannah Childers, Emma and Abigail Childers; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Amelia Steele, Justin and Sydney Grimes, Porter and Declin Smith; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Ministers Lloyd Crisp and Howard Fults will conduct services. Burial will be in Bonny Oak Cemetery.
