Dorothy Kalmar age 68, of Monteagle, TN passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was of the Baptist Faith, and served on the Board of Directors for the Appalachian Women's Guild, and Grundy Housing
Dottie was that proverbial Pearl of Great Price, whose worth cannot be calculated. She loved unconditionally and gave of herself and her worldly goods unstintingly. She was the embodiment of all that is good in life. And, while her adversities were many, she never lost that sweet smile or courageous spirit. We were all so blessed by just being a part of her life and will feel, painfully, her absence. Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend who has left the world a poorer place by her departure from it. Her wish for us would be not tears or sorrow, but happy times and treasured memories. And, while she is gone from us physically, her sweetness and goodness will remain as part of our gift from her, keeping her alive in our minds and hearts. So we bid her a temporary farewell, assured of a soon joyous reunion in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband Jenoe Kalmar; her parents Andrew Westman, and Margaret Smartt Bouldin; her son Sam Kalmar; brother Andy Westman Jr.; Sister Pam Bouldin.
Survivors include her children Tim Kalmar, Joanna (Jason) Fuson, and Jackie Schultz; grandchildren Jessica Jones, John Cantrell, Nick Kalmar, Josh Kalmar, Elizabeth Riley, Steven Floyd, Andy Kalmar, Savannah Kalmar, Joanna Kalmar, and Jaxon Kalmar; great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Emily, Ayden, Archer, Everett, Aleea, Alexus, and Jamey;brother Ernie (Wilma) Bouldin; sisters Jo Marlin, Sheila Campbell, Myrtle Irvin, Rena (Earl) Terry, Minnie (James) Schiesser, and Earlene (Johnny) Seagroves; a special Aunt Margie Smartt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
