Lawson, Charles A., MSGT ANGUS RET. Age 80 of Nolensville, TN passed away April 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Lawson; parents , Charles Alfred Lawson, Sr. and Mildred E. Lawson; brother Louis Lawson; sisters, Lucille Phipps, Janice (Dee) Nunley, and Nina Ruth Lawson. He was a member of and faithfully served Christ Church Nashville and was a member of Nolensville, TN Lions Club. He was a master woodworker and proudly served in the U.S. Airforce and Air National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annette Lawson; daughter Colleen (Rick) Adams; sisters Ophelia ( Claude) Parson, Evelyn Meeks (Kenneth ) Verner, Elaine (David) Irvin, Christine (Lonnie) Stockwell, Faye (Harley) Grimes, Angeline (Jerry) Stockwell and Alfreda Whited (Donald) Byford; brothers, Herbert (LaVenia) Lawson, Jonathan (Juanita) Lawson and Thomas (Wanda) Lawson; brother-in-law, Glen Phipps. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, and Friday from 12-1 p.m. at the church. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, April 26, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church , 15354 Old Hickory Blvd., by Dan Scott. Additional visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City. Graveside Services with Military Honors and interment will be Saturday , April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tracy City, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Nashville.
