Obituary of Jerelene "Jerry" Johnson

Mrs. Jerelene "Jerry" Johnson age 83 of Pelham, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayettville, North Carolina. She was a member of Chapman's Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Pelham, Tennessee. Mrs. Johnson was born February 23, 1930 in Grundy County to the Late Bud and Alma Braseel. She is also preceded in death by her husband Mr. J.T. (Jack) Johnson, Jr; brothers C.L., Tom, and Kenneth Braseel. Survivors include her loving daughter and son-in-law Renae and Allen Hand of Fayettville, N.C.; grandson David Hand of Charlotte, N.C.; step-daughter Donna Colbert of Hixon, TN; step-granddaughter Lisa Tyson of Cleveland, TN; sisters Mae Wanda and the Late Bill Spradling of Winston Salem, N.C. and Frankie Winton of Pelham, TN; sister-in-laws Jean Braseel Davis of Pelham, TN, Selma Braseel of McMinville, TN and Hilda Braseel of Pelham, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 21, 2013 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Knight, Pastor Robbie Cain and Mike Winton officiating. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery, Monteagle, TN. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Saturday April 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
