Obituary of Georgie Dunwoody

Mrs. Georgie E. Dunwoody age 91 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Manchester Health Care Center. She was born February 11, 1922 in Grundy County, a daughter of the late Edgar Meeks and Cleo Myers Meeks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Dunwoody; granddaughter, Rhonda Lynn Nunley; brother, Rennie Meeks. Mrs. Dunwoody was a member of the Tracy City First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Tracy City First United Methodist Women, 105 16th Street, Tracy City, Tennessee 37387. Survivors include her daughters, Margaret & Leroy Thomas, Mary Lynn and Ronny Nunley; son, William T. Dunwoody all of Tracy City; grandchildren, Tammy Evans, John M. Nunley, Thatcher Dunwoody, Whitney "Ray" Dunwoody; 6 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 6-9 P.M.
