Mr. Carl David Butner, age 68 of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away Saturday at home. He was born Sept. 11, 1942 in Tracy City a son of the late Frank and Ruby Walker Butner. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Gail Metcalfe Butner ; brothers, James E, Douglas, Billy Frank, Samuel Lee and Donnie Butner; sisters, , Aline Wilkinson, Doris Thomas Foshee and Lynda Bennett.
Survivors include his children, David Randall Butner and his wife,Rhonda, Monteagle, Evon (Raymond) Chastain, Chattanooga, Cynthia (Glenn) Chambers, Monteagle; sisters, Nellie Butner Bland, Monteagle, Connie Sargent, Manchester; 6 grandchildren, Marcus Gilliam, Brad Griswold, Amy Griswold, Jamison Butner, Hannah Butner; 6 great-grandchildren, Travis, Britney, McKynze, Emma, Peyton, Kynlee; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Marvin Brannan and Reverend John Burge officiating. Burial will be in Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee.
