Gwendolyn Maxine Ledford Rice age 58 of Forest Park, Georgia and formerly of Tracy City passed away Saturday March 16, 2013, at her home.She was a daughter of the late George Samuel Ledford, Sr. and Oma Ruth Graham Ledford. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Ledford; nephew, Charles Roger Ledford.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law,Christina and Ron Loder; grandson, Ronnie Loder; brothers, Charles Ledford, George (Lesley) Ledford Jr., Keith (Kim) Ledford; sister, Jean (Bernard) Jackson; She is also survived by many aunts, uncles,cousins, nieces and nephews as well as her family of friends and coworkers at PawnMart, friends in the Forest Park Law Enforcement community and her pet and loving companion, Sadie.
Gwen was passionate about her hobbies throughout her life which included her love of animals, music, photography, and genalogy, but her greatest love was fishing and camping in the North Georgia Mountains.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 24 at 3:00 P.M. Central Time at the First United Methodist Church in her hometown of Tracy City. Interment of her cremated ashes will be immediately following the services at Plainview Memorial Cemetery in Tracy City. On line condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
