William Edward Cantrell, I age 65 of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away September 16, 2012. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy (fighting forty CB's) during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Brooks Cantrell and mother Lula Mae Cantrell; infant son Eugene Brooks Cantrell II; wife Nelena Oliver Cantrell; brother Roy Cochran and Gary Don Cantrell all of Monteagle, Tennessee. Survivors include daughter Margaret ( Rodger) Busby of Antioch, TN; son William Edward Cantrell II of Monteagle; brothers and sisters Carl (LaDonna) Cantrell, Margaret ( Scooter) McFarland, Bonnie (David) Garner all of Monteagle; Nancy (Michael) Ward of Winchester, TN; Alice (Roger) Childress of Abington, VA; Robert Cantrell of Monteagle; Gloria (Barry) McFarland, Tina (Jamie) Layne, Carol (John) Collins, all of Tracy City, TN; Kenneth (Anna) Cantrell, Ronnie (Tammy) Cantrell of Knoxville, TN; Jimmy (Cathy) Cantrell of Sewanee; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Barry Nolan officiating. A full military graveside service will follow in Monteagle Cemetery with honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
