Obituary of Oscar Meeks

Mr. Oscar Franklin Meeks age 77 of Tracy City, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at The Bridge in Monteagle. He loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Pryor Ridge Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gearldine Meeks; his parents Joe Vernon and Cora Elizabeth Meeks; brothers Walter and Gilliam Meeks; sisters Virginia Nunley, Hazel Dykes, and Clara Ruth Byers.
Survivors include his son Donald (Donnie) Meeks, Tracy City; daughter Cindy Moon, Tracy City; sisters Josephine Meeks, Anna Lou Anderson, and Elizabeth Caldwell all of Tracy City; grandchildren Miranda (Adam) Bennett, Dallas Moon, and Jessica Norman; great-granddaughter Shayla Bennett.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Bobby Winton and Reverend Dennis Rollins will officiate. Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
