Obituary of Mary Samples

Mrs. Mary Imogene Samples age 81 of Monteagle, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savoir Monday, July 9, 2012, at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was born October 10, 1930 in Scottsboro, Alabama, a daughter of the late Truman Pruitt and Alice Scott Pruitt, she was preceded in death by her husband, Will; brothers, Jr., Luke and John W. Pruitt; grandson, Christopher Samples. Mrs. Samples was a retired seamstress; one of her favorite pasttimes was to play Yatzee on Wednesday nights with her family and friends. "She will be greatly missed by us all." Survivors include her children, David Samples, Monteagle, Glenda Horton, St. Cloud, FL, Eddie Samples, Thornton, CO, Jay Samples, Lakewood, CO, Renee Clark, Belleair Beach, FL; sisters, Clara Mae Swearinger, Montgomery, Alabama and Louise Dyer, Easley, S.C.; 6 grand-children, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ben Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Cemetery in Tracy City, TN.
