Obituary of Robert Thomas

Mr. Robert C. Thomas age 85 of Monteagle passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, in Golden Living Center in Winchester. He was a retired carpenter, having built many homes on the mountain with his brother, David. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran and was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teddy Thomas; son, Robert "Bobby" Thomas; daughter, Johnnie Lee Maxwell.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Thomas; grandchildren, Stephanie Kopek, Christopher Kopek, Phillip and Eric Lewis; brothers, Carlton Thomas and David Thomas both of Monteagle; sister, Charlene Lowrie, Monteagle.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with his nephew, Reverend Charles David Thomas and Claude Hoback officiating. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
