Obituary of Clarence Nunley

Mr. Clarence Eldon Nunley age 76 of Coalmont passed away June 8, 2012 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. Mr. Nunley was the pastor of Chestnut Springs Congregational Methodist Church for many years, and was a retired engineer from Tennessee Department of Transportation. Mr. Nunley was preceded in death by his father James Hobert, his son Donnie Lee Nunley, grandson Ronnie Joe Nunley, brothers Maxie Nunley, William (Bill) Nunley, and Charles Nunley; sisters Elaine Shadrick, and Gladys McGee. Survivors include his loving wife Judy Nunley; his mother Mary Nunley; Children Ronnie (Beverly) Nunley, Debbie (Louie) Ladd, Michael (Brooke) Nunley, Teresa (Tim) Nunley, and Sherri (Kim) Campbell; brothers and sisters Janie (Wayne) Smartt, Jean Nunley, Lois (Doug) Seagroves, Donna (Bernie) Knost, Ruth (Billy) Braden, Joe (Ann) Nunley, Pam Nunley (Craig), Kate (Barry) Braden; grandchildren Alicia, Angela, Allison, Marilu, Michael, Niqui, Colton, Derrick, and Christopher; great-grandchildren Drew, Jack, Emma, and Caitlin. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Foster and Lay Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Caldwell and Reverend Ray Winton officiating. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net .
