Obituary of Marlee Meeks

Mrs. Marlee Sartain Meeks age 74 of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, in Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was a daughter of the late Edison and Lida Mae Fults Sartain and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Meeks.
Survivors include her children, Leon Meeks and his companion, Mary Lee of Monteagle, Diane Mayes of Winchester and Jo Anne Childers and her husband, Terry of Altamont; brothers, William Sartain and Willard Sartain both of Manchester, TN; sisters, Melba Smithey and Annie Garner both of Manchester and Mary Pendergrass of Oregon; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Cumberland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Winton Cemetery in Pelham. The family will receive friends Monday 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
