Mr. Delbert R. Meeks age 82 of Monteagle went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Winchester, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Anderson Meeks; parents, Cam and Ella Kathleen Meeks; son, Delbert Meeks Jr,; son-in-law, Lee Parker and a sister, Rachel Parson.
Survivors include his children; Debbie (John) Hunziker, Donna Jo Parker all of Monteagle, and Michael Meeks of Tracy City; brother and sisters; Dennis Meeks, Christine Rudd, Ruth Endsley, and Bette Adcock; 10 grandchildren,6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Meeks was a member of Laynes Cove Church of God in Pelham.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clayton (Tater) Jones officiating. Full Military Graveside Honors will be in Monteagle Cemetery with Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard performing Military Honors.
