Obituary of Janet Denise Walker

Janet Denise Walker, age 65, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023. She was born November 11, 1957, to the late Donald Allen Conry and Essie Marie Puyear Conry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother, Berthia Mae Conry Freeman; sisters, Darlene Palmer, Pam Myers, and Paula Simmons; niece, Jennifer McDaniel; and nephew, Jonathan Cochran. Janet loved to draw and paint country scenes. She was a history buff and a good storyteller. She worked hard all her life. Her greatest joy in life was her grandson. He was the light of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Rankin; grandson, Chanten Colston; siblings, Kaye (Mark) Johnson, Faye Cochran, Roger Conry, Thomas (Leny) Conry, Theresa (Mike) Ralph, William Bivens Jr., Patty Owens, and Lisa Bivens. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 4 PM with Bro. Mike Rigsby and Bro. Claude Hoback officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will begin at 12 PM until the time of service.
