Obituary of Martha Jewell Wiggins

Mrs. Martha Jewell Wiggins age 79, of the Sweeton Hill community in Tracy City passed from this life Saturday, July 29, 2023. She was born October 21, 1943 a daughter of the late Clarence and Katherine Meeks. She was preceded in death by husband, John Wesley Wiggins, Sr.; son, John Wesley Wiggins, Jr.; granddaughter, Brittany Lynn Bean; great-grandson, Joe Michael Tate, Jr.; sisters, Betty Hall, Edna Mae Petty; brothers, Clarence Meeks Jr., Tom Meeks and Johnny Meeks Survivors include her children, Brenda (Mike) Byers and Teresa (Cob) Bean; adopted son, Dean (Bridget) Nunley; granddaughters, Monica Tate and Melissa Mosley; great-grandchildren, Abbie Tate, Tristen Mosley; sisters, Frances Kilgore and Mary Helen White and a special friend, her caregiver, Brenda. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Foster & Lay Chapel with Reverend John Potts and Reverend Alex Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in Bonny Oaks Cemetery in Coalmont. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home,96 Saint Clair Street, Tracy City, Tennessee.
