Obituary of Sandra "Sandy" Lou Cantrell

Sandra Lou Rollins Cantrell, age 69, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1954, to the late George Vernon and Alma Thomas Rollins in Sewanee, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Fann; and brothers, Tommy Rollins and Roy Rollins. Sandy Cantrell was a Teachers Aide for 19 years. She loved her work at Monteagle Elementary and was better known as Miss Sandy. Her grandsons knew her as Granny Grunt and she loved them so well. She also loved her church family. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Cantrell; daughter, Dana (Adam) Stephens; grandsons, Blake (Carissa) Stephens and Aaron Stephens; siblings, Barbara (Larry) Dykes, Brenda (John) Murray, Vernon Rollins, Robert (Judy) Rollins, Jimmy Rollins, and Nina Layne. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Anderson Cemetery in Sewanee, Tennessee. A lunch will be provided for family and friends immediately after the service at Monteagle First Baptist Church.
