David Scott Hughes, age 51, passed away July 23, 2023. He was born on May 25, 1972 to Opal Yarworth McBee and the late Stephen Randolph McBee in Sewanee, Tennessee. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jerry Phillips.
David liked to fish. He loved playing with his grandchildren and loved shooting guns with his son.
He is survived by his loving wife, April Hughes; daughter, Erika Hughes; son, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Hughes; three grandchildren, Brantley, Will and Lucas; mother, Opal Yarworth McBee; sister, Sherry Nunley; brother, Shannon (Tina) Hughes; mother-in-law, Betty Phillips; sister-in-laws, Jamie (James) Hubbard and Carrie; along with many loving uncles & aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, family and friends.
No services will be scheduled at this time as his wishes were to be cremated.
