Obituary of William "Butch" Douglas Myers

William Douglas “Butch” Myers, age 79, of Tracy City TN, passed away July 16, 2023. He was born on June 30, 1944, to the late Charlie D. and Mildred Jewel Burnette Myers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Myers and brothers, Wayne and Don Myers. Butch was a carpenter most of his life. He was an awesome painter and loved painting landscapes. He enjoyed reading Stephen King novels and watching sci-fi movies. He was a member of Sweeton Hill Church and played bass at the church for the choir. He is survived by his son, Michael (Rhonda) Myers; grandchildren, Ashley Myers, Wyatt and Brooke Shelton, Michael Myers II, David King, Christopher Myers, Chloe King, and Zachary Myers; four great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Drucilla) Myers; sister, Sue Merrill; and special companion, Bernice Cordell. Graveside Services will be held Monday, July 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Clouse Hill Cemetery with Bro. John Potts officiating.
