Berthia Mae Conry Freeman, age 82, of Tracy City, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born September 16, 1940, to Millard and Nora Bailey Lowe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Conry; daughters, Darlene Palmer and Pamela Myers; granddaughter, Jennifer Campbell; grandson, Jonathan Cochran; and sisters, Penny Grant and Lillie McCoy.
Berthia loved to knit and crochet. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and working in her flower beds. She loved taking care of people.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Freeman; children, Janet Walker, Kaye (Mark) Johnson, Faye Cochran, Roger Conry, and Thomas (Leny) Conry; stepson, Vincent Freeman; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Janie Lietz and Rueben (Linda) Lowe.
The Funeral Service will be Friday, June 30, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Elder James Hindman, Elder Andrew Huffman and Bro. Mike Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-9 PM.
