Virginia Louise Simer, age 55, of Tracy City, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. She was born January 8, 1968, to Oscar Billy and Virginia Crowder Shelby. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepdad, Johnny Hindman.
Virginia loved being a grandmother. She was the backbone of the family and took care of the neighborhood kids.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Simer; children, Joshua Simer, Jennifer Myer, Billy (Nikki) Hogan, and Jerri (Joseph Layman) Simer; thirteen grandchildren; siblings, Timmy Lee, Bryan Lee, Debbie Shelby, Missy Mace, and Sherry Enler; and stepmother, Ann Shelby.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
