Obituary of Annie Sue Tipton

Annie Sue Tipton, age 97, passed away June 22, 2023, at her daughters home in Mt. Juliet TN. She was born July 24, 1925, in Tracy City TN, to the late Johnny and Eva Hamby Worley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hayes "Dickie" Tipton; infant siblings, Ruby, Martha, and Raymond; brothers, James (Sue) Worley, Paul Worley, Ernest (Omalee) Worley, Ershel (Martha) Worley, Charles (Dot) Worley; sisters, Dortha (George) Berry, Olline (Albert) Scott, and Lucille Shrum. Annie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tracy City. She was a home maker who loved gardening and loved flowers of any kind. She was always happy and full of life, and she was known in school for her giggles. Everyone loved being around her. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Olin) North; grandson, Chad (Stephanie) Curtis; grandchildren, Alayna and Jonathan Curtis; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home - Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 11:00 AM with Bro. Ben Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be Friday from 4-8 PM.
