Obituary of Edna Elizabeth Krebes

Ms. Edna E. Krebes, age 95, of Monteagle, passed away June 9, 2023, peacefully. She was born January 6, 1928, to Bernard “Barney” Brinkman and Thresia Egermann Brinkman, both of whom preceded Edna in death. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, John Krebes, with whom she shared 65 years together. Edna filled several job opportunities throughout her life. Without a high school diploma, she was an operator for Bell Telephone, cashier for Kroger, she was an accomplished sales associate for Allied Radio & L Comp, and she was also a press operator at Borg Warner. Most importantly, Edna was a mother who lovingly raised five children, and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, David (Cathryn) Krebes, Tom (Donna) Krebes, John (Lonna) Krebes, Donna (David) Cole, and Carol (Jack) Cowan; brother, Harold (Marilyn) Brinkman; sisters, Janet (Jack) Schmitz and Alice (Dick) Voit; 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren also survive. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, August 1st at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 am in Harriman, TN. The address is 535 Margrave Drive in Harriman.
