Obituary of Constance Fay Curtis McElroy

Constance Fay Curtis McElroy, age 83, of Tracy City TN, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023. She was born August 21, 1939, to James and Elsie Connery Orange. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jerry Fay Layne; brothers, Frederick Orange of Georgia and James Oscar Orange of Illinois; sister, Mary Delilah Harrison of Indiana; and late husbands Jerry McElroy and George Curtis. Constance loved to sing and go to church. She loved to clean and was always doing something to keep her busy. She loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kim) McElroy and Fritz (Ashley) McElroy; grandchildren, Connie Sanders, Ashley Caldwell, Jacob McElroy, Veronica Layne, Dixie McElroy, Teaunna McElroy, Emily McElroy, Landon McElroy, Ty McElroy, Liam McElroy, Timothy Layne, Brittany Johnson, Daman Layne, and Carlton Layne; great grandchildren, Reese Anderson, Megan Sanders, Samantha Sanders and Dana Sanders; great great-grandchildren, Joshua Caldwell, Rachel Caldwell, William Hafferkamp and Ellieanna Hafferkamp; brother, Donald Orange of Tracy; sister, Carlene Mayes of Tracy; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 3 PM with Bro. Terry Winton officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be Monday from 6-9 PM.
