Obituary of Juanita Jean Hobbs

Ms. Juanita Jean Hobbs, age 77, of Coalmont, passed away May 9, 2023 at STRHS in Winchester. She was born September 5, 1945 in Coalmont, TN to Barney and Zada Adams Hobbs, both of whom preceded her in death. She loved anything to do with her grandchildren, Colton and Dalyn Meeks. She loved taking care of them and always wanted to be wherever they were. Juanita enjoyed helping people more than anything in this world. She enjoyed her job as a CNA at Sewanee Hospital and working in pediatrics whenever possible. Juanita is survived by her nephews, Barry (Ashley) Meeks, Billy Bob Partin, Jason (Laura) Hobbs, Roland Hobbs, and Jimmy Hobbs; niece, Lisa Nunley; sister, Cathie (Jerry) Layne; and grandchildren, Colton and Dalyn Meeks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Wilma "Maxine" Short, Alvin Hobbs, Damon Hobbs, Shirley Nunley, Linda Gilliam, and "Hamp" Hobbs. The Funeral Service will be Friday, May 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home - Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City with Dr. Clayton Jones officiating. Burial to follow at Coalmont Cemetery. There will be a period of visitation with the family Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5 until 8 PM.
