I remember Mr Campbell and all the long talks we had and he told me so much about my dear mother. My mother worked for his parents and he said he'd never forget Ms Bea Nunley, and his mother said I could leave 1000. dollars in my home and leave and return and every single cent would be here. He spoke very highly of my mama. I was only 8 yrs old when Jesus called her home. I told Mr Campbell I felt lost without my mama. But he said God's had his hands on you all your life. God Bless all of Mr Campbell family. I live in South Carolina I moved here shortly after I lost my mama. Praying for his family.

We surely do appreciate John and all that he has contributed to Grundy County History. He, Willene Campbell, and I published a Meeks family history years ago. We didn't get everything right, but we did make a start in untangling all the Meeks family lines of which we were all three a part. John was a good and trustworthy man who brought light to every situation. We all loved and respected him, not only for his work, but for his encouragement. We will miss him as a part of our Grundy County Historical Society family as we know that you will miss him in your family.
Prayers for your family.
Love,
Janelle Layne Coats Taylor
