Obituary of Madeline Carol Koger

Madeline Carol Koger, age 75, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Greenville, Kentucky. Madeline is preceded in death by her husband Billy Fred Koger and parents J.D. Jackson Yates and Norma Jean Burks Yates of Sewanee, Tennessee. Madeline enjoyed many things in life. She was very talented at sewing and a master at needle work. She was a women of great faith her love for Jesus and her faithfulness as a Christian showed in her day to day life. She loved listening to gospel music and her church family. Most of all she loved caring for her family, cooking and baking for them was very important to her. She was survived by her son Scott Koger of Greenville, Kentucky, daughter Amanda Royal of Tullahoma, Tennessee, sisters; Martha Sue Payne of Madison, Alabama and Nancy Loraine Puttman of Tullahoma, Tennessee, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with cousin in law and dear family friend Pastor Charles Knight of East Ridge Church of the Nazarene Chattanooga, Tennessee officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Eastern Star Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday at the Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. till time of service.
