Obituary of Thursa Sanders

Mrs. Thursa Meeks Sanders age 79 of Tracy City passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Mack Meeks and Maggie Smartt Meeks and was preceded in death by a son, Alan Sanders; brothers, Jeff Meeks and John B. Meeks; sisters, Tressie Thomas, Lillie Sanders, Clara Layne and Ruth Hazel Moore. Survivors include her husband, Buford Sanders; children, Vick Sanders, Mark Sanders, Leonard Sanders, Timothy Sanders, Mike Sanders, Amy Holloway and Juanita Trussell; brother, Alfred Meeks; sisters, Gabriel Sanders, Josie Meeks and Mary Kilgore; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. "She was the best mother you could ever have had!" Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Russell Nevulis conducting the service. Burial will be in Clouse Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
