Obituary of Dillard Sanders Jr.

Dillard Sanders Jr., age 79, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born on May 16, 1943, to the late Dillard Sanders Sr. and Lillian Smartt Sanders. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister, Leta Sanders; sisters, Doris Smartt and Louise Dempsey; and brothers, Stacy Shane Sanders, Homer Sanders, Mahlon Sanders, and Billy Sanders. Dillard liked to go fishing and wild root digging. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Beatrice Sanders; sons, Keith Sanders, Tim (Michelle) Sanders, Tony Sanders, and Ronnie (Charlotte) Sanders; grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Marion Wallace, and Macy Jones; sister, Edith Nunley; and brothers, Weldon Sanders, Leslie Sanders, and Adam Sanders. The Funeral Service will be Monday, March 13, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Claude Hoback and Bro. Barry Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM.
