Hilda B. Caldwell, age 90, passed away February 26, 2023. She was born November 18, 1932, to the late Everette and Clara Layne Byers. In addition to her parents, Hilda is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Pete” Caldwell.
Hilda loved to shop and to ride around.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (Rocky) Hobbs, Ricky (Donna) Caldwell, and Carolyn (Manuel) Williams; grandchildren, Shanda (Jason) Meeks, Natasha (Paul) Conry, Robyn (Nat) Newsome, Miranda (Claude) Cunningham, Marissa (Garrett) Crisp, Amber (Trey) Johnson, and Brooke (Cody) Campbell; great grandchildren, Jonathan Burrows, Kelly (Colton) Myers, Matthew Burrows, Peyton Conry, Zane Conry, Ashton Newsome, Nash Newsome, Izabella Swafford, Kasey Crisp, and Willow Meeks; and one great-great grandchild, Kolt Myers.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2 PM with the Rev. Clayton Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Burns Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 5-9 PM.
