Anthony (Bimbo) Wayne Campbell, 69, born in Altamont, Tn passed away the evening of Friday February 17th, 2023. Bimbo was born to Harry & Faye (Meeks) Campbell on February 14th, 1954. He spent much of his childhood years in Idaho Falls, Idaho before returning to Monteagle, Tn. There he graduated Grundy Co. High School before beginning his career with Mead as a Master Logger & entrepreneur. He is preceded in passing by his parents & infant sister, Priscilla Campbell, and stepsons, Jason Long & Carl Brewer.
Bimbo is survived by his sons, Kale Wayne Campbell (Sara) of Hillsboro, Tn & Chad Anthony Campbell of Monteagle; a daughter, Carmen Morgan of Murfreesboro; stepsons Robby (April) Long of Coalmont & Van (Sandra) Brewer of Monteagle; and the loves of his life, Sharon Kay Campbell & Billie Van Geary. His surviving sisters are Beatrice Nolan, Delphine Campbell & Wanda Thomas of Monteagle,Tn and Lucinda Hughes of Bowie, Maryland. His surviving brothers include Audie (Cindy) Campbell of Mississippi, Tony (Pam) Campbell of Florida & Kim Campbell who resides in Monteagle, Tn. Additionally, Bimbo is survived by his beloved grandchildren Hunter, Remi, Amaya, Sophie, Max, Ava, Wesson, Shelby, Garren, 4 great grandchildren & special "sons" Nick Kalamar, Richard Slachart & Micheal Meeks.
Bimbo was a man with a heart of gold. In his youth he began stepping in to care for his brothers & sisters when needed, a tradition he kept, filling the parental role for many over the years. He will be remembered as an amazing man, who kept no record of those who had wronged him, forgiving & forgetting, offering support & stability to many throughout the years.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle, Tennessee with Bro. Claude Hoback and Bro. Kyle Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at City Cemetery in Tracy City. A visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 2-9 PM.
