Obituary of Derek Vaughn Wiley

Derek Vaughn Wiley, age 34, passed away February 13, 2023. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Brian Wiley and Bonnie Williams on February 17, 1988. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Christopher Foutch; paternal grandfather, Bill Wiley; and maternal grandmother, Mildred Guess. Derek liked to hunt, fish, ride 4-wheelers, play basketball and play ping pong with his son. He loved welding and took pride in his work and loved playing music, especially the guitar. He is survived by his parents, Brian and Tara Wiley of Tracy City; mother, Bonnie Williams of Manchester; step-mother, Lanette Fults (Janet & Ray Jacobs) of Sewanee; son, Zephan Wiley; brother, Axl Merriman of Maryland; sisters, Nikki Wiley of Sewanee, Danielle Rocha and Cheyenne Rocha of Manchester; paternal grandmother, Ann Wiley; maternal grandfather, Dewey Williams; step-grandparents, Johnny and Elaine Gipson; nephew, Cruz Rocha; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved best friend, Zeus (Duke). The Funeral Service will be Friday, February 17, 2023, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Johnny Gipson officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-9 PM.
